VI. HOW DATA IS ANONYMIZED/PROTECTED

Bifarm’s Community Forum uses industry standard technical, administrative and physical safeguards to maintain the security of your personal information. Bifarm enables the password you input to be encrypted when in route between your browser and the Bifarm server(s) and when in route between the Bifarm server(s) and some other browser or server. This practice helps prevent unauthorized third parties from intercepting and gaining access to your private data during transmission over the Internet. Bifarm uses Secure Socket Layer encryption supported by all popular Web browsers.

Some of the data you provide us, such as your phone number and email address, is stored in a password-protected environment, and access is provided only to those who require access to administer and maintain the system, provide requested support, or respond to your inquiry or comments.

VII. MUTUAL OBLIGATION TO PROTECT PRIVACY

To access the Bifarm Community Forum, users must input their InCommon credentials. Users who do not have InCommon credentials may be issued self-selected passwords. For security reasons, your password must not be disclosed to any other party. Users acknowledge that disclosing passwords to others may result in the temporary or permanent termination of their rights to use the Community Forum. The misuse of passwords or misrepresentation of identity by use of another's password may compromise the security of the service, and would allow Bifarm to enforce its rights under the Terms of Use. If you lose control of your InCommon credentials or self-selected password, you may lose substantial control of your personally identifiable information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. Therefore, if your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately contact the administrator who issues InCommon credentials at your institution to reset your old password. If your password has been compromised and you do not have InCommon credentials, please contact the Community Forum administrator at the email address provided below. Bifarm and InCommon shall not be responsible for any damages incurred as a result of unauthorized use of your password and hereby expressly disclaim all responsibility for any such damages.
