Bifarm collects two kinds of information from visitors to our Community Forum: (i) information we collect when you visit our website and (ii) information we collect when you register to participate in our online community.
If you are visiting the Community Forum to browse through the site and read forum posts, we may collect and store information related to the Community Forum pages you visit. With respect to “do not track” requests, Bifarm does not support such requests and continues to collect the information described herein.
If you choose to register to participate in our Community Forum, you will be required to submit your full name, institutional affiliation, email address, and phone number. We also may collect your IP address.
No part of the Bifarm Community Forum is directed to children under the age of 13, and Bifarm does not knowingly collect or maintain PII from children under the age of 13.
Bifarm collects PII from you for several reasons:
Unless otherwise specified herein, Bifarm will not give, sell or provide access to your personal information to any company, individual, or organization for its use in marketing, commercial solicitation, or other promotional purposes.
When you post in the Community Forum, your full name and institutional affiliation, as well as the content of your post, will be shared with the community. By posting in our Community Forum, you are granting consent for this information to be shared publicly on the Internet. We will not share your email address or telephone number publicly with your forum post, but members of the community who already possess your contact information may contact you privately with regard to a particular forum post.
Bifarm also may share your personal information with forum moderators. These moderators are community members who have volunteered to oversee the communication activity and organization of the Community Forum. Moderators are not employees, contractors, or agents of Bifarm. A moderator may use your personal information to contact you privately regarding an inquiry or comment you may have posted in the Community Forum.
We will not share the information you give us with a government agency except as required by court order or other government demand that has the force of law, or as otherwise required by applicable law.
Bifarm’s Community Forum uses industry standard technical, administrative and physical safeguards to maintain the security of your personal information. Bifarm enables the password you input to be encrypted when in route between your browser and the Bifarm server(s) and when in route between the Bifarm server(s) and some other browser or server. This practice helps prevent unauthorized third parties from intercepting and gaining access to your private data during transmission over the Internet. Bifarm uses Secure Socket Layer encryption supported by all popular Web browsers.
Some of the data you provide us, such as your phone number and email address, is stored in a password-protected environment, and access is provided only to those who require access to administer and maintain the system, provide requested support, or respond to your inquiry or comments.
Users may access and update the information provided to Bifarm in connection with registration to use the Community Forum at any time by contacting the Community Forum administrator at the email address provided below.
