Advance the way we grow today
for a better tomorrow.
Bifarm Tech is a sustainable AgTech startup based in South Florida. We develop smart agricultural technology and provide soilless solutions to optimize harvest quality and yields with minimal environmental footprint. Our specialty is precision aeroponics with automated climate control.
Plants require constant attention. Indoor plants often die due to negligence or improper care, and outdoor plants are often affected by weather, temperature and unwanted visitors. It's difficult to create the perfect conditions for gardening without the proper tools. Our founder, Wanjun Gao, experienced these same issues time and time again. He decided to take matters into his own hands.
In 2015, a team of skilled engineers joined the project, and Bifarm was born. The team focused on a technology called Aeroponics that creates the perfect conditions for growing plants indoors. The goal was to create an air or mist environment without the need for soil, using small amounts of water to transmit just the right amount of nutrients. This would create the perfect environment to grow plants easily.
In 2017, Bifarm released a series of indoor aeroponics components, including the Smart Controller, the Root Temperature Control, and the Aero HP Generator (High-Pressure Regulator). Later that year, Bifarm released the AeroKit, a partially assembled aeroponics package and one of the first publicly available personal high-pressure aeroponic kits on the market.Bifarm AeroKit has sparked interest among cultivators across the world, making a typically expensive and inaccessible technology available to the everyday grower.
We have great opportunities working with home and commercial growers to improve our technologies and products. On the research front, we have been actively collaborating with university customers and partners such as AgriTech Center of Cornell University, University of Florida, and Colorado State University. The efforts led to the releases of consumer models like Bud, AeroXPS, and commercial models under Future Farm product lines - SXSW Innovation Award Finalist.
Bifarm Tech is a RIT Venture Creation company and approved by NYSERDA as New York State CleanTech startup. Wanjun Gao, the founder, is also an Endeavor Miami ScaleUp alum, and trained in the NYSERDA EIR program run by Columbia Technology Ventures.
Time, attendance, labor and experience are major factors when growing plants. Bifarm addresses this issue head-on. Our GrowOS software suite was created in conjunction with our machines to allow users to control their plants’ growing conditions from the convenience of an app.
Bifarm's GrowOS software suite includes an operating software that automates the plants growing environment, mobile & desktop apps to manage the habitat settings, and cloud services that facilitate remote access and online monitoring.
For commercial operations, Bifarm's GrowOS Server provides a collection of management tools covering inventory and deployment management for grow systems, batch operation orchestration, reports & analytics, security & access control, and worker tasks management.
Bifarm team have designed a range of products to cater all users, from home growers to commercial facilities. Recently, we have upgraded both the AeroKit and the Bifarm Bud with a new generation of Bifarm's aeroponics products: the AeroXPS and the Bifarm Future Farm.
AeroXPS is a product designed specifically for home users. We packed the automated high-pressure aeroponic function and the nutrient temperature control feature in a small 2'x2' box that users can easily place in a grow tent, closet, garage, or living room. Additionally, the AeroXPS can manage growers' existing favorite equipments, such as grow lights and vents. It is a perfect upgrade to growers existing setup.
FutureFarm is Bifarm's vision of future agriculture. It is our answer to the challenges facing the agriculture industry. The measurable goals are: higher yields, better quality, consistent results, and quicker grow cycles, along with lower operating cost. We are working with commercial growers on customized FutureFarm solutions. Contact us for details.
